PASTURE-RAISED BISON TALLOW
Scientific Name: Adeps Bovis
Origin: Pacific Northwest, USA
Description: Tallow has been used to nourish and protect skin for thousands of years, from scorching Egypt to the high, cold deserts of Central Asia.
Tallow from humanely-raised pasture bison offer superior nutrients not found in typical tallow. In fact, grass-fed bison tallow can contain up to 300% more α-Linolenic acid (ALA omaga-3) compared to conventional tallow as well as significantly higher amounts of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA).
ALA has been studied for it's potential ability to prevent sun spots as well as improve skin barrier function which keeps moisture in and toxins out. Meanwhile CLA has demonstrated in animal studies its ability to hydrate skin and decrease inflammation.

DATE EXTRACT
Scientific Name: Phoenix Dactylifera
Origin: Middle East
Description: Often referred to as the “tree of life” by ancient cultures, modern cosmetic researchers have discovered a renewed interest in the fruit of this tree.
Specifically the date kernel has a diverse antioxidant profile consisting of phytosterols, isoflavones, and tocopherols that may help improve skin barrier function and combat premature aging.
In fact, a 2002 study demonstrated a 28% reduction in wrinkles over just a five week period.

FRANKINCENSE
Scientific Name: Boswellia Sacra
Origin: Dhofar, Oman
Description: Famous since biblical times frankincense has been used for its medicinal properties for thousands of years. Our Royal Green Hojari frankincense is sourced from the Dhofar region of Oman and is the finest in the world. Because of its rarity and pristine quality it is the frankincense reserved for the personal use of the Sultan of Oman himself.
We specifically treasure this frankincense for its rich boswellic-acid content. Multiple studies have been done on this compound which have demonstrated its ability to improve skin texture, reduce fine lines, improve elasticity, control sebum production, and combat acne-induced inflammation.
The beautiful green color and intoxicating yet mild scent lend to the unmatched aesthetic experience of the Restoration Balm.

OLIVE SQUALANE
Scientific Name: Squalane
Origin: Mediterranean
Description: As a non-comedogenic, lightweight, and fast-absorbing emollient, squalane excels in calming, smoothing, and hydrating dry, inflamed, and sensitive skin without clogging pores.
Squalane is the fully saturated form of squalene, a naturally occurring lipid in the skin which is essential for supporting the skin’s barrier and locking in hydration.
After peaking in teen years, squalane rapidly declines in the skin with age making this ingredient very beneficial for aging skin.

RED RASPBERRY OIL
Scientific Name: Rubus idaeus L.
Origin: Serbia
Description:
It’s been studied for its potential as a broad spectrum UV protectant with an approximate 30 SPF (though we do not recommend using it as your primary sun protection.) Our red raspberry seed oil is rich in ALA omega-3 fatty acids. This specific fatty acid has been studied for its potential ability to prevent sun spots as well as improve skin barrier function, which is so important for keeping moisture in and skin stressors out.
Red raspberry seed oil is also packed with antioxidants such as carotenoids, tocopherols, and polyphenols. Research indicates that people with higher levels of antioxidants such has these have fewer and less pronounced wrinkles that those with lower levels of antioxidants.

BLUE TANSY FLOWER OIL
Scientific Name: Tanacetum annuum L.
Origin: Morocco
Description:
We don’t just include this for the aesthetics though. Chamazulene is an antioxidant that’s shown evidence to be even more potent than Vitamin C and Vitamin E. Other components of this rare oil include alpha-pinene, myrcene, and theophylline.
These additional components have been studied for their ability to attenuate UV-induced photoaging and inhibit enzymes that break down the collagen and elastin that give our skin its youthful appearance. These properties indicate that blue tansy flower oil is a potent anti-aging botanical.

Who can benefit the most from the Restoration Balm?
The Restoration Balm is formulated for the woman who wishes to slow the aging process while nurturing a healthier skin barrier.
With that said this formulation is best suited for women with normal to dry or sensitive skin as this is our most hydrating formula. For women with an oily skin type we would recommend our radiance mask for decongesting pores along with our glow nectar for daily, lightweight hydration.
When will I begin to see results?
Users often enjoy softer, more hydrated skin the morning following their first application of the Restoration Balm. Slow fading of fine lines and wrinkles take more time, however, and we typically begin to notice this after two to three months of consistent use.
Are Hibi Youth's formulations pregnancy safe?
Our formulations were designed based on a personal need for clean, effective beauty and anti-aging products which the founder felt comfortable using through pre-conception, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. Though all of our products are pregnancy safe, every body is different. Please speak with your doctor before using any new skincare ingredients during your pregnancy.
When will my order arrive?
Orders typically arrive within 3-5 business days and you will receive an email with the tracking information as soon as your order is on it's way. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us at support@hibiyouth.com and we will be happy to help.
What if it's not for me?
If you are not experiencing expected results in your first few applications please reach out to use at support@hibiyouth.com for assistance and we will be happy to help. Sometimes with natural skincare products a simple tip or trick is all you need. We recommend trying a new skincare ritual for at least one to two months for optimal results to begin to appear.
With that said, every formulation is not perfect for every skin type. If you decide one or both of these formulations are not for you we're proud to offer our 90-Day Happiness Guarantee. Simply reach out the support@hibiyouth.com and we'll be happy to help you find a formulation that works for you.

Why use raw frankincense resin instead of essential oil?
Inflammation is one of the most prominent drivers of premature skin aging in the 21st century.
Frankincense, the resin of the Boswellia tree, is naturally rich in anti-inflammatory, anti-aging boswellic acids which provide a calming effect to many stressors associated with premature aging. However, these boswellic acids are not extracted using standard essential oil production methods.
Though it's a much more complicated process, we take the time to infuse our raw frankincense resin directly into our oils before filtering out the non-soluble gum material. This ensures that the most precious components of this resin are extracted into the final product.
Why is bison tallow used in the Restoration Balm?
Not all tallow is created equally. As a bare minimum tallow should be sourced from farms with pasture-raised and humanely treated animals.
The best tallow for skin though is going to be tallow produced from grass-fed, pasture raised bison. That is primarily due to the unique fatty acids present in this rare type of tallow.
Stearic acid is one of the fatty acids which has shown benefits for improving skin barrier function, softening and hydrating skin.
Tallow from pasture raised bison is going to provide the highest level of stearic acid compared to conventional or even grass-fed beef.
Linolenic acid, aka omega-3 fatty acid, is another fatty acid with anti-aging skin benefits. In addition to helping maintain healthy and hydrated skin, omega-3 fatty acids have shown to be very beneficial at inhibiting UV damage. A study done in 2003 showed that EPA, a specifically potent form of linolenic acid, was capable of increasing resistance to sunburn by 136%.
With 300% more linolenic acid, bison tallow is superior to beef tallow as a potent source of omega-3 fatty acids.
Our tallow comes from bison regeneratively raised on open pastures featuring diverse flora and fauna. It is here they gain their sustenance for the majority of the year. During the winter they feed on hay from a neighbor's organic farm. No grain is fed to the bison in order to optimize the animals' health.
What is the shelf life and how long will the Restoration Balm last with regular use?
All of our products are formulated in micro batches with all-natural ingredients and without the use of chemical stabilizers. Just as one would indulge in fresh, nutritious food quickly and frequently, we recommend using the Restoration Balm within six months of opening for best results.
You can expect both the Restoration Balm to last 45-60 days when used frequently. This can vary greatly based on your individual skin type, your age, the time of year, or even the phase of your menstrual cycle!
Can I enjoy the Restoration Balm alongside my other skincare formulations?
Yes! In fact, we find the perfect compliment to the Restoration Balm to be the simple addition of the Glow Nectar to your morning routine.
This addition can help regulate oil production during the day, fortify the skin against external stressors like UV radiation and pollution, and adds an additional anti-aging boost to this routine.
