What's behind the name KALOS?
With our namesake inspired by the ancient Greek goddess of youth and vitality, Hebe, it's no secret that we're nerds for ancient Mediterranean cultures.
KALOS comes from the ancient Greek word meaning "beautiful" or "noble beauty" - but not (only) the superficial kind. In Greek philosophy, kalos represented beauty that radiates from inner virtue and excellence. It's the kind of beauty that comes from being truly well-nourished, balanced, and thriving from within.
We chose this name because KALOS isn't about covering up or masking - it's about cultivating the kind of radiant, healthy glow that can only come from proper internal nourishment. When your skin has the building blocks it needs to thrive, that's when you experience kalos - beauty that's authentic, effortless, and undeniably yours.
Why use marine collagen peptides instead of typical bovine collagen?
Marine collagen peptides have smaller molecular weights compared to bovine collagen. This means better absorption and bioavailability, and more peptides that our skin is actually able to use.

How are these flavored?
For flavoring we elected to use real authentic fruit powders at every opportunity combined with natural flavors. If you are sensitive to natural flavors or choose not to ingest them we suggest the Pomegranate Sangria flavor which only contains real organic blueberry powder and organic pomegranate juice powder for flavoring.
Is this gluten/soy/dairy/egg/nut free?
KALOS is free of gluten, eggs, soy, dairy, aggs, and nuts and if produced in a certified allergen-free facility in the United States.
I have a shellfish or fish allergy. Can I use this?
Due the presence of marine collagen and pearl powder we do not recommend KALOS if you have a fish or shellfish allergy.
